Eggington Road, Etwall is a kitchen and gym extension project to a period property located within the village of Etwall. The project involves the construction of new extensions from the foundations through to wall plate level, including the installation of a new slate roof alongside a warm deck rubber roof system incorporating a large aluminium roof lantern.
A major aspect of the works included the installation of underfloor heating throughout both the new extensions and sections of the existing property. This required the removal of the original floors within the house, excavation and removal of spoil, followed by new concrete subfloors, insulation installation, and screeding over the underfloor heating system.
The existing kitchen area and new extension areas were fully rewired as part of the project, alongside thermal upgrades to sections of the original building to improve energy efficiency while maintaining the character of the property.
Traditional timber windows and doors were installed throughout, and all plastering works were completed as part of our package. Decoration, tiling, and final finishes are scheduled to follow as the project progresses.
The project has been fully managed within one of our turnkey service offers, with our team coordinating and overseeing all associated subcontract trades to ensure smooth delivery and continuity throughout the build.
The project demonstrates our ability to successfully deliver high-quality extensions to period properties, combining traditional construction methods with modern building performance upgrades and full-service project management.
